"Elizabeth" in Jade

I recently saw someone post their version of 'Elizabeth' in one of the doily groups I am part of, and I really loved it. Because I already own the book for it, I decided I must try it. The first thing to do after choosing a pattern is choosing the perfect color. The week before I had bought several skeins of Artiste Egyptian Cotton thread from Hobby Lobby and I fell in love with this color: Jade. So I knew this was the color I had to use.

'Elizabeth' is a pattern by Patricia Kristoffersen from her book 'Exquisite Doilies,' which you can find here. This is the third pattern I've tried from this book.

The pattern itself is 36 rounds. I enjoyed working it, but several of the rounds were repetitive and boring. However, because there are only 4 repeats per round, it's pretty easy and quick to get through.

I used a 1.75mm hook with size 10 thread and it came out to 14.5" in diameter. The e-version does not include the errata which you can find here on epawelko's post.

You can find this piece available in my shop for purchase.
